Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the independent provider that supplies that function. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. A message sent to us contains only the information included in the message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may create standard logs with an IP address, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps. We review this in aggregate for security, performance, and general readership patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar technology.
How Technical Data Is Used
Technical information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content maintenance. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
County and state portals, library collections, archives, and independent search functions have their own privacy rules. Those policies govern information submitted after leaving this service, including information entered into sponsored search results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the limited logs described above. Analytics or advertising partners can receive comparable automatic data. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise only as described here.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes stated above. There are no user accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles maintained by this service.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted information so it can be removed.
Your Information Requests
You may ask about personal information this service holds. Michigan does not have a broad consumer-privacy deletion statute applicable to every public-record compilation in the official sources reviewed; record-specific protections still apply. Because little information is retained, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page. A public record held by a Michigan, county, or township custodian must be addressed to that custodian, not to this service.
Policy Updates
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
